Today, we’re excited to introduce you to Victor, one of the many talented traders at OFP! Victor, a native of Quito, Ecuador, has been on a remarkable journey since he began trading in 2017. After years of honing his skills, in 2023, Victor joined OFP, and his story of persistence and growth is one we can all learn from.
Victor’s trading journey began in a country where access to large banks or private equity companies is limited. “In Ecuador, there’s nowhere you can go to trade—there are only small banks,” he shared. After years of trial and error, his hard work started paying off.
Initially, he traded with small sums and bonuses from brokers, learning as he went. He invested in courses, some good and some not so great, and eventually found an outstanding mentor from Peru who guided him. “He taught me to look at the big picture, focusing on news and how it affects the market.”
After seven years of hard work, Victor was finally confident enough to make trading his full-time career. “I quit my job and now trade for a living,” he proudly stated, adding that his decision to focus on trading has been life-changing.

Victor’s dedication to mastering his craft is evident in his approach. He focuses solely on one pair, the US30, and sticks to his strategy. “Jumping from pair to pair or strategy to strategy doesn’t work—you need to commit to one thing and give it time,” he said.
For those new to trading, Victor also stressed the importance of being calm and patient when entering trades. “Don’t let emotions control your decisions. Stay calm and focused, and you’ll avoid making costly mistakes,” he emphasized.
